UKA Iberia

Since 2019, UKA Group has expanded its business activities into additional European renewable energy markets, including Spain – a leading market for onshore wind. With more than 27 GW installed wind energy capacity, Spain ranks fifth in the world, after China, the United States, Germany and India, and second in Europe. The Spanish market is also developing into an interesting market for photovoltaics. With more than 14 GW installed, Spain ranks third among European countries for installed solar capacity.

UKA subsidiary UKA Iberia is active on the Iberian market and operates from Madrid, Spain’s capital. The Spanish team of multidisciplinary professionals provides all services for the development, construction, sale of energy, and operation of wind and solar photovoltaic projects, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC). It delivers flexible solutions in close collaboration with UKA’s partners.

  • FINANCING

UKA Group has a policy of reinvestment of profits and low indebtedness, supported by an ambitious growth strategy. This business model gives it great financial capacity, with excellent solvency.

For the third consecutive year, the credit agency Creditreform has awarded G&W, UKA's parent company, the "CrefoZert" certificate, attesting to the company's excellent financial solvency, a certificate that only two percent of German companies receive. To issue this certificate, Creditreform audits the entire UKA Group, including its international subsidiaries. This credit rating is based on a professional analysis of the annual financial statements by Creditreform Rating AG, as well as on credit rating information from the Creditreform company database.

UKA Group has established solid and stable relationships with a group of highly qualified financial institutions and strategic investors to structure the financing of its projects. Excellent solvency also allows the group to develop projects with its own funds, without the need to resort to financing institutions.

UKA Group stands out for its extensive experience in the engineering, design and park layout, construction management and assembly, and equipment purchasing management of large-scale renewable energy projects. UKA’s project design is based on the characteristics of the site. It selects the best fitting equipment to optimize revenues. The company has framework agreements with leading manufacturers and excellent business relations with key component suppliers for its projects – a prerequisite for a successful implementation of construction projects.

The company is experienced with operations and maintenance of renewable energy parks. It handles commissioning as well as technical and commercial management. UKA ensures that the equipment operates for decades with optimal technical and economic performance.

  • REPOWERING

The group successfully executes repowering projects. For this purpose, UKA examines whether local conditions, such as height or distance regulations and planning law of potentially suitable power plants, allow for repowering.
