UKA Sells Wind Farms to Commerz Real for Klimavest Impact Fund

Three wind turbines sold with a total capacity of 11.1 megawatts.

Commerz Real has acquired UGE Brottewitz from UKA for its Klimavest Impact Fund. The company is comprised of the Brandenburg wind farms Langenrieth II (Elbe-Elster district) and Freiwalde Nord I (Dahme-Spreewald district), with a total capacity of 11.1 megawatts.

Commissioned in December 2019, the Langenrieth II wind farm is made up of two Vestas V117 wind turbines with a capacity of 6.9 megawatts. The Vestas V136 turbine in the Freiwalde Nord I wind farm has a capacity of 4.2 megawatts and was commissioned in July 2020.

Since their commissioning, the wind farms have benefited from a remuneration in accordance with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) over a calculated term of 20 years. UKB Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung GmbH is responsible for commercial and technical management of the plants.

The sale of UGE Brottewitz is already the sixth joint transaction between Commerz Real and UKA.
