UKA Group sells Gieboldehausen Wind Farm

Encavis Asset Management AG is expanding its wind farm portfolio by 28.5 megawatts.

The energy park developer UKA is selling the wind energy company Gieboldehausen Drei to a special fund advised by Encavis Asset Management AG (EAM) from Neubiberg. The eight wind turbines developed by the UKA Group with a total rated output of 28.5 megawatts were erected in the Lower Saxony district of Göttingen between 2016 and 2019. There are two Vestas V126 with a rated output of 3.45 megawatts each and six Vestas V136 with 3.6 megawatts each.

"I am very pleased that we were able to close the deal despite the current Corona crisis. The sale shows that wind energy projects are still in demand despite the current market distortions", explains Gernot Gauglitz, Managing General Partner of the UKA Group.

It is the first transaction between the wind and solar park developer UKA and EAM. "With the conclusion of this purchase, we have laid the foundation for a trusting relationship that will continue. We are particularly pleased that with the Gieboldehausen wind farm we have purchased eight valuable wind turbines for this fund," said Karsten Mieth, Spokesman of the Management Board of Encavis Asset Management AG.

UKA will continue to manage the technical wind farm through UKB Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung.
