UKA Donates € 3,500 to WEISSER RING

The energy park developer is supporting the efforts of the Meißen-Radebeul chapter in its commitment to victims of violence.

Energy park developer UKA Meißen Projektentwicklung donated 3,500 euros to the WEISSER RING chapter in Meißen-Radebeul. CEO Ralf Breuer presented the donation in the form of a wind turbine rotor blade to the organization's volunteers on Thursday, September 10, 2020.

Chapter Director Inge Erler said during the ceremony: "We would like to thank the UKA for their support and are pleased to be able to provide even better assistance to the victims we help." CEO Ralf Breuer said: "UKA Meißen supports the indispensable volunteer work of WEISSER RING because we are amazed at how dedicated and supportive the volunteers are in helping victims of violence and crime."

Established in 2015, the Meißen-Radebeul chapter currently includes six volunteer workers who advocate on behalf of victims of crime. The professionally trained staff hold open counseling hours for victims in Meißen City Hall on the first and third Mondays of the month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Advance registration is appreciated. In addition, they advocate for victims in many other ways. They offer individual support and personal care after a crime has been committed, assistance at appointments with the police, public prosecutor's office and court, arranging help from other organizations and much more.

UKA's donation will be used for public relations activities as well as for upgrading technical equipment and the facilities of the local WEISSER RING chapter.
