SENIOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

THE ROLE:

  • Overseeing and guiding all aspects of Wind and PV project developments from early stage to ready-to-build stage, including planning, permission and grid connection
  • Managing the external Project Development Partners, timelines, milestones, and project budgets
  • Identifying new Wind and PV development partnership opportunities with external developers and supporting commercial negotiations regarding development services with prospective partners
  • Provide coordination for all development activity within the respective project region
  • Formulate relationships with land agents
  • Liaise closely with external consultants and the in the planning process
  • Oversee environmental impact assessments and undertake site evaluation
  • Leading guidance according to pipeline schedule, guaranteeing contract terms meet investor requirements
  • Guide aspects of procurement in coordination with the colleagues of the respective department at the headquarter
  • Provide support for the project development and commercial terms and financial modelling
  • Oversee the project engineering EPC team ensuring engineering deliverables from the project closing team are met
  • Reporting directly to the CEO

THE INDIVIDUAL:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Five to ten years of relevant work experience and a European network in the Renewables sector
  • Experience in contractual negotiations relating to energy offtake and power purchase agreements is beneficial
  • Appreciation of technical aspects of infrastructure projects
  • Experience on large scale onshore wind and PV projects is beneficial
  • Understanding of investors due diligence requirements
  • Managing competing demands and working to tight deadlines
  • Team player who is flexible and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance
  • Self-starter with a pro-active attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong intercultural skills and experience within multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and two other major European languages, conversational in German would be an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to travel
