UKA sells Suckow Nord and Duben West A wind farms to EBL Wind Invest

The fourth joint transaction successfully completed.

The UKA Group has sold a total of two wind turbines to EBL Wind Invest AG (EWI), as part of two projects. One being the Duben West A (Dahme-Spreewald district, Brandenburg) and the other Suckow Nord (Ludwigslust-Parchim district, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania). The Duben wind farm turbine is a Siemens SWT 3.15-142 with a nominal output of 3.15 megawatts. The wind turbine was planned by UKA Cottbus and has been in operation since December 2018. The Suckow Nord project wind turbine is a Vestas V136 with a nominal output of 3.6 megawatts. The system was planned by UKA Nord and went into operation in February 2020.

EBL will take over the commercial management from January 2022, whereas the technical operations management will continue to be carried out by UKB (Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung). The sale of the two turbines marks the fourth successful joint transaction between EBL Wind Invest AG and the energy park developer UKA.

EWI is a Swiss stock corporation which, together with EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland) and institutional investors, invests in onshore wind turbines. EBL is a co-investor and is responsible for commercial operations and investment management. Since it was founded in 2016, EWI has invested almost 290 million euros in wind power projects. There are plans for further investments by the end of this year, as there is still more than 21 million euros of capital available.
